Mumbai: Sony SAB’s popular show Yaadein continues to engage viewers with an emotional and intense storyline, as Dr. Dev Mehta’s journey takes a dramatic turn.
Played by Iqbal Khan, Dr. Dev is seen struggling to cope after losing eight years of his memory—impacting not just his personal life but also his professional expertise. In the upcoming episodes, a critical mistake shakes his confidence when he unknowingly administers a banned medication to Rajeev, portrayed by Meet Sadhwani, who is battling multiple sclerosis. The error worsens Rajeev’s condition, leaving his sister Dr. Vaani, played by Srishti Singh, deeply distressed.
However, Dr. Dev manages to identify a crucial clue just in time and successfully saves Rajeev’s life. The incident, though, leaves him shaken and introspective. Realising the seriousness of his lapse—caused by gaps in his medical knowledge following memory loss—he decides to return to his studies and prepare for an exam to rebuild his expertise and confidence.
Sharing insights into the track, Iqbal Khan said the storyline highlights accountability and resilience. He noted that while life may offer second chances, it also demands responsibility. “For Dr Dev, this is a turning point. He understands that good intentions are not enough in the medical profession—you need to stay updated. What makes this journey powerful is that instead of breaking down, he chooses to rebuild himself,” the actor said.

As the narrative unfolds, viewers will see whether Dr. Dev can regain his confidence and return to being the doctor he once was, making this phase a crucial chapter in his story of redemption.
Yaadein airs Monday to Saturday at 8 PM on Sony SAB.
